Review of Rewards4all, FlyBE’s Frequent Flyer Reward Program

Rewards4all is Flybe’s frequent flyer program. Flybe became the first ever airline to introduce a customer loyalty reward scheme that is open to all. Everyone has a great opportunity to earn many points that they can redeem for either free flights or access to the exclusive executive lounges even for economy class flyers. Flybe’s Rewards4all reward program is not linked to any other frequent flyer reward program, airline or alliance. It is easy to join and its currency is points.

Earning points

To this moment, Rewards4all is still pretty much the basic stamp-in-a-book program it has always been but this comes with its benefits. The system is now electronic and points are awarded automatically for registered members. Rewards4all awards different points depending on the ticket class. A one-way economy ticket earns 1 point, 2 points for a return ticket. A FlyBE economy Plus fare earns double (2 points one-way, 4 points return).
This is a points-per-flight system that doesn’t award extra points for longer flights, no matter how much the ticket cost, hence the reason there is a maximum 4 points earning ceiling for return Economy Plus tickets.

Redeeming points

Members of the Reward4all program can redeem their points for flights on FlyBE when they accumulate 16 points. A return domestic Economy ticket within the UK costs 16 points while an Economy Plus flight will cost 22 points. Redeeming points for flights to other European destinations cost 24 points for an Economy ticket and 30 points for an Economy Plus.
Note that you cannot redeem points for flights to Spain, Portugal and Croatia.

Elite membership: Premier

The Rewards4all program, unlike most frequent flyer programs out there today, does not have a structured membership level. However, members can buy access to lounges for a year using their points by getting a Premier card for 35 points for an Exclusive Lounge Access for a whole year or 50 points for access to the lounge for the member and 1 guest.

Pros

• Very simple points earning and redeeming structure.
• Anyone can earn the lounge access even when flying economy fares
• Easy to register and accumulate points.

Cons

• Rewards4all points expire 24 months after they were earned and the airline offers no options to reactivate them.
• Imbalance in the earning and redeeming structure when it comes to the distance of the flight.
• No partnership with other airlines or reward programs.
